When installed with a supported DS1 circuit pack, the 120A6 provides essential functions normally associated with an external CSU while reducing the need for separate external equipment.
The compact design makes the 120A6 convenient for compatible Avaya communications installations. It does not require option switch settings or a separate DS1 cable, helping simplify installation and maintenance. Vintage 2 and higher 120A CSU modules also provide enhancements supporting the payload loopback function when ESF framing is selected. This function requires a compatible 700A loopback jack.
